Mr Dhruba Bahadur Thapa, the candidature for the post of chairperson of NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal in the upcoming NADA election, has reached out to the automobile businessmen of Pokhara through an interaction program recently held in the city. The program was attended by all the candidates of the Dhruba Thapa panel. It was also informed during the event that the Dhruba Thapa group had the clear support of all the former presidents of NADA.The program was moderated by Mr Kapil Shivakoti, a current working committee member of NADA Nepal Automobiles Association of Nepal and a candidate from the Dhruba Thapa panel. Hon'ble Minister for Law, Justice and Communication of Gandaki Province Bindukumar Thapa, former Lions Multiple 325 Former Multiple Council Chairperson of Lions Prem Bahadur Shrestha and Central Member of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Baburam Giri were present on the occasion.Mr Dhruba Bahadur Thapa highlighted the policy reforms his team would undertake if he comes into the leadership. He vowed to work together in a plethora of areas like structural change in NADA's policies, reforms in the secretariat, filing a patent for the NADA Auto Show, organizing similar auto shows outside of the valley, capacity building of members, creation of a central data hub, and promoting corporate social responsibilities. He also highlighted the need for the inclusion of small, medium and large business houses in NADA. Furthermore, he also said that even though the organization has been expanded in all the seven provinces, it is yet to include all the automobile businessmen of these states.
Speaking on the occasion, Thapa said that he is very hopeful of winning the election. After the election, Thapa and his team expressed their commitment to work according to the rules and regulations of the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, considering all the small and big businessmen as equal.According to the candidates participating in the program, Dhruba Thapa's panel has the support of big businessmen including Golchha Organization, Laxmi Group, Dugad Group, Jagdamba Group, IME Group, Khaitan Group, Agni Group, Bishal Group, Jyoti Group, Vaidya Organization, Kedia Organization, Continental Group and others.During the occasion, Mr Chhatradhar Atreya, Chairman of the Lekhnath Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that Thapa would be a capable leader and his business trip had confirmed this. Similarly, Mr Pawan Prajapati, Acting President of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that Thapa will lead NADA successfully. Most of the speakers suggested to take initiative in the construction of an auto zone.Suggesting to work in the business interest while managing NADA, the businessmen present on the occasion said that their support was with Dhruba Thapa's panel. Similarly, businessmen who spoke at the interaction said that Durba Thapa Thapa is a jewel of the region.Mr Akash Golchha, current Vice President of NADA and Mrs Yamuna Shrestha, Importer of BYD Electric Vehicles for Nepal briefed the participants on various issues raised during the program.
